HEALTH HAZARDS
Things you need to know:
Critical questions remain concerning the health effects and safety of radiofrequency electromagnetic radiation (RF). Studies have shown:
• Increased cell growth of brain cancer cells
• A doubling of the rate of lymphoma in mice
• Changes in tumor growth & an increased number of tumors in rats
• Increased breaks in double and single stranded DNA
• 2 to 4 times as many cancers in Polish soldiers exposed to RF
• More childhood leukemia in children exposed to RF
• Changes in sleep patterns and REM type sleep
• Headaches & extreme irritation caused by RF exposure
• Neurologic changes including: Changes in the blood-brain-barrier; Changes in
cellular morphology (including cell death); Changes in neural electrophysiology
(EEG); Changes in neurotransmitters (which affect motivation and pain
perception); Metabolic changes; and Cytogenetic effects (which can affect
cancer, Alzheimer's, neurodegenerative diseases)
• Decreased memory, attention, and slower reaction time in school children
• Retarded learning in rats indicating a deficit in spatial "working memory"
• Increased blood pressure in healthy men
• Damage to sperm with long term exposure
• Damage to eye cells when combined with commonly used glaucoma medications
Here are some websites with some very interesting information regarding the health hazards of cell phone radiation. These are just a few - there are hundreds of websites out there with very knowledgeable information. Just do a search for "cell phone antenna dangers" or "cell phone antenna health hazards" & you can read some of this research for yourself.

From Verizon's own Annual Report to the SEC in December 2005:
Risks Related to Our Industry
Concerns about alleged health risks relating to radio frequency emissions may reduce demand for our services and cause us to pay significant damages or settlements. Some studies have suggested that radio frequency emissions from wireless handsets and cell sites may be associated with various health problems, including cancer, and may interfere with electronic medical devices, including hearing aids and pacemakers. Lawsuits have been filed against us and other participants in the wireless industry alleging various adverse health consequences as a result of wireless phone usage....The actual or perceived risk of radio frequency emissions could also adversely affect us through diminished use of wireless services, reduced subscribers, or reduced financing available to the wireless communications industry. Further, such health concerns could expose wireless providers to further litigation that, even if not successful, can be costly to defend. Government authorities may increase regulation of wireless handsets and cell sites as a result of these health concerns.

The International Association of Firefighters took a position in 2004 that no cell towers can be located on or adjacent to any fire stations until there is proof that there is no health risk.

A tower was built in my area 10 years ago and I have had health problems ever since - stomach problems, headaches, Sseep disturbance, lack of concentration, memory loss. Everything possible should be done to stop the installation of these towers for they interfere with pace makers, hearing aids, and instruments in hospitals , doctor's offices. The city gets a payment but not for the citizens for the installation of protection for themselves. It has cot me so far $7000 and still I suffer.

In a draft report issued in March 1990, the EPA recommended that EMFs be classified as a Class B carcinogen -- -a "probable human carcinogen and joined the ranks of formaldehyde, DDT, dioxins and PCBs. After the EPA draft report was released, utility, military and computer lobbyists came down hard on the EPA. The EPA's final revision did NOT classify EMFs as a Class B carcinogen Rather, the following explanation was added: "At this time such a characterization regarding the link between cancer and exposure to EMFs is not appropriate because the basic nature of the interaction between EMFs and biological processes leading to cancer is not understood."

The BioIniative Report - This is one of the most conclusive pieces of evidence supporting the fact that RF is harmful.
This
link is especially interesting because it mentions how different radio frequencies should not intermingle. It also mentions how EMF reacts with metal to create hot spots.
The EMR Institute - An excellent resource of data, news, studies & court cases concerning electromagnetic radiation
I have tons more.....please just
e-mail & ask & I will be happy to provide you with information that proves cell phone antennas are very harmful.
